With Over 12 years experience in dermatology and aesthetics, Dr. Carla Bauman and her staff have the expertise to offer you the most proven treatments for your skin and a satisfying experience that reflects our commitment to exceptional dermatologic care.

Carla J. Bauman, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Carla Bauman is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and has a special interest in pediatric dermatology. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University and her Doctorate of Medicine from Harvard Medical School. While completing her residence at the University of Washington, she simultaneously earned a Master in Public Health degree. Outside the office, she is an active member of her community and enjoys spending time with her family.

Lynne B. Vigesaa, M.S., A.R.N.P.

Lynne Vigesaa graduated with a baccalaureate degree in nursing from Columbia University in New York City and completed a master’s degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Washington here in Seattle.

She is board-certified by the American Nurses’ Association. She pioneered the role of the nurse practitioner in the state of Washington in the early 1970′s and was appointed by the governor to help write the rules and regulations regarding nurse practitioners in the state of Washington.

Ms. Vigesaa has had over 35 years of experience as a nurse practitioner, working solely in the specialty of dermatology for the last 6 years.

Amy Nelson, PA-C

Amy Nelson graduated from George Fox University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then went on to receive her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Phoenix, Arizona. She has over twelve years of clinical experience and practiced in the Emergency Medicine for approximately seven years before relocating to Seattle. In 2007, Amy changed her focus to Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology and has specialized in that area ever since.

She is board certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Washington State Dermatology Association.

Amy is a native of the Pacific Northwest and lives in West Seattle with her husband and three young children. She enjoys exercise, travel, and reading while outside the office.

Clara Georgia DeHoog, L.E.

Clara is our licensed clinical medical esthetician and since she graduated 5 years ago, she is been an integral part of our practice, working closely with Dr. Bauman and Lynne Vigesaa, ARNP to help provide the most thorough and effective therapies for the skin conditions we treat. She has worked closely with industry experts to learn the best applications of the wide-ranging cosmetic options available on the market. Clara specializes in treatments for sun damage and skin rejuvenation as well as rosacea, melasma, cystic acne, and hyper pigmentation. She performs laser procedures to correct uneven skin pigment, remove unwanted hair, and to improve skin texture and tone. Clara performs an incredible array of medical grade chemical peels and designs customized, results-oriented skin care regimens. At the same time she is passionate about inspiring her clients to maintain daily at-home care of their skin, as Clara believes that it is truly consistent care and attention that produces lasting, healthy and youthful looking skin.
